BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Stéphane Gagné has 28 years of experience in the fields of biotechnology, cosmetics, nutritional supplements, and active ingredients. He holds two bachelor's degrees, one in economics and the other multidisciplinary, as well as a master's degree in business administration, all from the Université de Sherbrooke.
Since 2006, Mr. Gagné has co-founded four companies where he served as President and CEO. Mr. Gagné is now President and CEO of Immugenia Inc., a biotechnology company that develops stem cell therapies not only to treat but also to prevent relapses in chronic diseases such as cancer.
Mr. Gagné has played a significant role in the international growth of several Canadian companies, leveraging his global network of contacts and business acumen. He has held leadership positions in biotechnology, cosmetics, and supplement companies, notably Atrium Innovations, where he served as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing since its inception in 1999. Atrium Innovations was acquired by Nestlé in 2017 for 2.3 billion US dollars.
Mr. Gagné volunteers for non-profit organizations and enjoys supporting other entrepreneurs. He has volunteered as a mentor for several startups from cohorts 1, 2, and 3 of District Ventures, a Calgary-based health sector business accelerator. He currently coaches life sciences companies at the ACET incubator in Sherbrooke and also acts as a facilitator for a group of entrepreneurs seeking inspiration from their peers' experiences.
